Water Treatment and Thermal Zone Technology Design
We develop water treatment and thermal zone technology projects as a managed engineering and operational system, where decisions related to circulation, filtration, disinfection, and thermal regimes directly impact safety, operational stability, and the economic performance of the facility. The design process follows the international logic Concept → SD → DD, with a mandatory linkage to CAPEX and OPEX at every stage.
Concept Design — water treatment and thermal technology concept
At the Concept stage, we define the fundamental technology concept for water treatment systems serving swimming pools and water attractions, as well as the core technological solutions for thermal pools, bathhouses, and saunas. The following aspects are determined:
- water circulation schemes;
- filtration system calculations;
- disinfection methods (chlorine, bromine, UV, ozone, hybrid systems);
- temperature regimes and hydraulic parameters;
- sizing of balance tanks and technical plant rooms;
- connection schemes to external utility networks;
- integration with HVAC and heat generation systems for thermal zones.
At this stage, key CAPEX drivers are established, including equipment selection and class, tank volumes, pump group capacities, disinfection system configuration, thermal circuits, and the capacity of heating elements, furnaces, and steam generators. In parallel, parameters critically affecting OPEX are defined — energy consumption, water and chemical usage, maintenance complexity, and staffing requirements.
Schematic Design (SD) — functional and spatial development of the technology
At the Schematic Design (SD) stage, the concept is translated into functionally and spatially coordinated diagrams and drawings of the technological systems. We develop:
- layout of technological equipment for circulation, filtration, and disinfection systems;
- piping and manifold schemes;
- balance tank layouts;
- conceptual disinfection and automation schemes;
- technological interconnections between pools, water attractions, and thermal basins;
- plans and sections of bathhouses and saunas, including equipment layout and connection schemes;
- coordination with architecture, structures, and interior design of bath and spa zones.
At this stage, the CAPEX structure is refined through optimization of equipment layouts and engineering routes, while the operational logic affecting OPEX is evaluated, including equipment accessibility, maintenance safety, operational stability, and system redundancy.
Detailed Design (DD) — technology working documentation and operational control
At the Detailed Design (DD) stage, we prepare a complete set of working documentation for water treatment and thermal zone technologies, including:
- technological schematics for circulation, filtration, and disinfection;
- hydraulic calculations;
- plans, sections, and details of pools and water attractions;
- specifications for pumps, filters, UV and ozone systems, and dosing equipment;
- equipment and load schedules;
- construction and installation requirements;
- technical briefs for related project disciplines;
- commissioning and operational requirements.
The result of our work is a buildable and fully coordinated technology project that ensures safe, stable, and economically efficient operation of the water and entertainment complex.
