Surf Pools
Turnkey surf zone solutions for projects of any scale
Surf Pool Concept
The first stage is the development of a commercially viable concept for the surf zone. Our team conducts a comprehensive project analysis that goes beyond engineering:
- We identify the target audience and forecast throughput capacity, including user profiles and guest segments.
- We model visitor behavior and attraction load scenarios based on seasonality, time of day, pricing structure, and facility format.
We calculate profitability and economic impact, including:
- additional guest traffic +18–35% in the family and youth segments;
- F&B revenue growth +12–25% driven by bars, lounge areas, and ancillary services;
- increased average spend, frequency of visits, and guest stay duration +15–30%;
- additional revenue from lessons, competitions, and club programs.
The outcome of this phase is the selection of the most profitable surf installation model and recommendations for integration into the facility infrastructure.
Surf Pool Engineering & Design
The design phase establishes all technical solutions to ensure reliable, safe, and energy-efficient operation of the surf zone throughout its lifecycle. We use high-reliability components from leading global brands: Siemens, ABB, and General Electric.
Technical Operating Principle of a Surf Pool
A surf machine generates a controlled “endless wave” that allows riders to surf on a board similar to ocean conditions. The system functions through the following core steps:
- Water intake and circulation — water is drawn from the pool into the main loop by high-performance pumps.
- Flow formation — the pump station delivers water under high pressure onto a specially shaped riding surface, creating a stable, controlled flow across one, two, or three lanes.
- Hydraulic stabilization — distribution and return channels maintain uniform flow speed and water layer thickness, ensuring comfortable riding.
- Flow control — speed and volume adjust automatically through programmed modes, from beginner instruction to high-performance riding.
- Cyclic return — water is collected through overflow and filtration systems and recirculated back to the pump station, maintaining a closed-loop operation.
The result is a stable wave with adjustable power, suitable for recreational surfing, training, and competitive use.
Three standard surf-platform configurations are available:
- Single-lane – a compact solution for hotels, spas and beach clubs.
- Dual-lane – increased throughput for resorts and family entertainment complexes.
- Triple-lane – the optimal model for water parks and year-round operations.
Custom-engineered options are also available — including non-standard shapes, working surface widths, and structural layouts tailored to the project concept and client requirements.
The surf installation can be implemented in any operational format:
- Integration into existing infrastructure – installation within an operating water park, hotel complex, amusement park, or beach club.
- Anchor attraction in a new development – creating a surf zone as the central driver of a new water leisure or resort project, generating traffic, guest engagement and additional revenue streams.
- Fully autonomous format – deployment as a standalone asset: urban surf club, beach location, sports area or rooftop venue with its own branding, ticketing model and operational structure.
Surf Pool Installation and Commissioning
Full construction, commissioning and handover cycle
During the implementation phase, we ensure a coordinated and controlled integration of the surf system into the facility. All work is executed comprehensively and in parallel:
- Supply of surf equipment and supporting engineering systems in accordance with the project specification.
Parallel construction of the pool base and core infrastructure, including:
- installation of a concrete or stainless-steel foundation for the surf platform;
- preparation of the technical room for pumps, automation and auxiliary components;
- routing of utilities and engineering networks.
- Installation of the surf machine and all supporting engineering systems, including filtration, circulation and water disinfection.
Connection, configuration and programming of safety and control automation.
Commissioning activities, operational testing and hydraulic verification. Handover of the facility with staff training covering operations, maintenance and service procedures.
We deliver turnkey commissioning — from groundworks to the first wave, with the pool ready to welcome guests in full operating mode.
