Construction management
Construction Management for water-entertainment complexes
Construction Management of a Water-Entertainment Complex
At Water Engineering, we treat the construction management of water-entertainment complexes as an independent engineering and management discipline. Waterparks, wellness centers, and resort aquatic zones are complex facilities located at the intersection of architecture, structures, engineering, and specialized water technologies. Our objective is to ensure precise implementation of design solutions, controlled schedules and budgets, and achievement of the required operational and safety performance of the facility.
Pre-construction Stage
At the pre-construction stage, we establish the foundation for a controlled project implementation. Our team carries out:
- site analysis, logistics planning, and assessment of construction site constraints;
- development of a baseline construction schedule considering long-lead items (water attractions, water treatment systems, steel structures);
- identification and fixation of interfaces between general construction works and specialized water systems;
- review of design solutions for constructability and installation logic (constructability review);
- development of the project budget, risk register, and procurement strategy.
Coordination of Design and Construction Solutions
During construction, we ensure continuous synchronization of design documentation and on-site activities. Within the scope of construction management, we:
- review and approve working and installation drawings;
- manage requests for information (RFI) and changes without compromising design intent or operational parameters;
- coordinate designers, equipment suppliers, and the general contractor;
- monitor compliance of materials and technical solutions with approved specifications.
Construction Readiness Control
Before the installation of specialized equipment begins, we carry out mandatory verification of the construction readiness of key elements. Under our control are:
- elevations and geometry of concrete pools, foundations, and pedestals;
- accuracy of embedded parts and anchoring points;
- readiness of technical rooms and engineering routes;
- clear allocation of responsibilities between general construction contractors and specialized contractors.
Installation of Water Systems and Attractions
At the installation stage, we manage the installation of all key components of the water-entertainment complex, including:
- water slides, towers, fiberglass elements, and load-bearing structures;
- pools, basins, attractions, and active recreation zones;
- water treatment, circulation, filtration, disinfection, and automation systems;
- integration of engineering systems: power supply, ventilation, drainage, and automation.
Testing, Commissioning, and Launch
After completion of installation works, we conduct comprehensive verification of all systems and attractions. Within this stage, the following activities are performed:
- dry and wet testing of equipment;
- functional and visual inspection of attractions;
- testing of safety systems and emergency scenarios;
- preparation of as-built documentation and test reports.
The Water Engineering Co Team
Construction management is carried out by our specialized team, including:
- Project Manager — schedule, budget, and communications management;
- Construction / Site Manager — daily on-site operations management;
- Engineers (aquatic, structural, mechanical) — control of design intent and technical solutions;
- Commissioning Engineer — functional testing and system acceptance;
- Surveyor — control of geometry and elevations;
- Regulatory Coordinator — interaction with supervisory and regulatory authorities.
