Water Parks

Water Engineering Co — a full range of engineering and technical services for the delivery of water park projects
water park design
We develop the concept, prepare design documentation, carry out construction and installation works, and perform commissioning

Water Park Concept Design

The initial and one of the key stages of project development, during which the overall vision of the future complex is formed, including layout solutions, architectural concept, selection of water attractions, technological approaches and preliminary technical and economic indicators.

Marketing Block

Defines the market positioning of the future water park, its target audience, unique value proposition and development potential. This section outlines the key concept parameters, competitive advantages and overall investment attractiveness of the project.

  • Executive Summary

Architectural Block

Establishes the functional and visual foundation of the project, including spatial planning solutions, usage scenarios, stylistic concept and thematic design. The materials include architectural drawings, conceptual visualizations and representations of the future appearance of the facility.

  • Master plan and functional zoning scheme of the water park
  • Floor plans
  • Architectural concept and stylistic vision, 3D sketches and video overview
  • Thematic concept with preliminary visualizations
  • Facades with thematic elements
  • Building sections

Technical Solutions Block

Forms the engineering and operational basis of the facility. It describes solutions for reliable operation of water attractions, water treatment and circulation systems, climate control, as well as requirements for connection to external utility networks. The materials confirm technical feasibility and compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Description of technological and engineering solutions for all key systems (pool structures, water attractions, water treatment systems, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, etc.)
  • Technical data sheets for solutions and major equipment
  • Preliminary calculation of requirements for external engineering networks (technical conditions)

Financial Block

Demonstrates the economic feasibility of the project. Includes a preliminary budget, forecasts of operating costs and revenues, profitability calculations, payback periods and investment risks. The commercial development strategy of the water park during the operational phase is also defined.

  • Key preliminary technical and economic indicators of the facility
  • Preliminary construction and equipment budget
  • Financial plan and project development strategy

Water Park Business Plan

Establishes a financially sound operational model for the water park, defines the structure of revenues and expenses, payback timelines and serves as a basis for attracting investments and debt financing.

  • Preliminary construction and equipment budget (CAPEX)
  • Operating cost and revenue forecast (OPEX)
  • Attendance and revenue calculation by each channel (admission tickets, F&B, additional SPA services, rentals, etc.)
  • Financial model with cash flow projections
  • P&L (Profit and Loss Statement)
  • Cash Flow statement
  • ROI, IRR — key profitability indicators
  • Risk analysis and scenario modeling (Base / Pessimistic / Optimistic)
  • Financial development strategy

Water Park Project — Implementation Stages

Design Documentation

Defines all technical, architectural and structural solutions required for the construction of a water park. Includes detailed drawings, engineering layouts, calculations and specifications, ensuring full readiness of the facility for implementation. The documentation complies with national standards, building codes and safety regulations required for expert approval. Design documentation stages P (Design) and R (Working Documentation).

  • Architectural solutions (AR) and interior/exterior design concept
  • Structural solutions — drawings of building structures
  • Full set of engineering and technological sections
  • Water attractions and swimming pool technology
  • Specifications and schedules of materials, finishes and equipment
  • Cost estimates and supply schedules

Construction and Installation Works

The project implementation stage covering construction, equipment installation and finishing works. Key priorities include structural reliability, quality of installation of water treatment systems, attractions and climate systems, as well as accurate execution of the approved design concept.

  • Construction of buildings and engineering structures
  • Construction and installation works for pool shells, slides and water attractions
  • Installation of engineering networks and utilities
  • Implementation of architectural and interior solutions
  • Commissioning of all engineering systems

Author’s Supervision

  • Control of correct implementation of architectural concepts and engineering solutions. We ensure preservation of the design intent and functional logic of the facility throughout all construction stages.
  • Control of full compliance with design solutions
  • Participation in approval of technical changes
  • Site visits with reporting

Technical Supervision

  • Independent quality control of construction and equipment installation. Ensures safety, durability and compliance with operational standards of the water park.
  • Quality control of construction and installation works
  • Verification of compliance with standards and safety requirements
  • Acceptance of concealed works and key installation stages
  • Maintenance of technical documentation and reporting

Water Park Project Timeline

Project Start
12 weeks
24 weeks
36 weeks
48 weeks
Concept design4 – 8 weeks
step 1Principal planning, technological, architectural and functional solutions defining the placement and operational logic of a water park on the client’s site.
Project documentation (Design & Working Design Stages)4 – 24 weeks
step 2Architectural and layout solutions, structural and engineering sections (water treatment, water supply, sewage, ventilation, heating, electrical supply and automation), technological schemes for attractions and thermal zones, load and energy consumption calculations, as well as construction and installation drawings and equipment specifications (AR, TX, HVAC, WS, ES, AS, RC, SM, CWP, BOQ, etc.). The design documentation is prepared in accordance with applicable building regulations, European safety standards and requirements for public aquatic facilities.
Equipment procurement and manufacturing10 – 20 weeks
step 3Comprehensive support for the supply of specialized equipment and water attractions for the water park — from supplier selection to final delivery to the site. Selection is performed based on the project’s technical specifications, taking into account equipment reliability and compliance. The client receives comparative analysis and the optimal procurement solution. We control manufacturing, logistics and documentation up to offloading at the Client’s site and are fully responsible for delivery timelines and completeness of supply.
General construction works and equipment installation12 – 24 weeks
step 4This phase includes construction, finishing and equipment installation activities in accordance with the project documentation. Water Engineering exercises technical control over three key parameters — quality of work, schedule compliance and cost alignment, ensuring precise implementation of design solutions and readiness of the facility for commissioning.
Staff training4 – 6 weeks
step 5Staff preparation for water park operations includes training technical personnel, ride operators, lifeguards and administrative staff, safety and service-standard instruction, development of operational protocols and execution of a test launch with the full team.
Water park commissioning6-8 weeks
step 6A comprehensive set of activities aimed at verifying the correct operation of all engineering systems, water attractions and facility infrastructure prior to opening to the public.
Timelines may vary depending on the scale of the project and its location. Our primary objective is to deliver a water park with a balanced capital cost, low operating expenses and an attraction mix that meets the expectations of the target audience.
